#Onthisday Gunner Edwin Bird of the Royal Garrison Artillery died of pneumonia on 4th January 1915 aged 23. He died in hospital in Brighton less than a month after enlisting. He is remembered at St Marys Churchyard, Bushbury near Wolverhampton. #EOHO @CWGC.

#Onthisday Guardsman John George Meredith of the Grenadier Guards died on 22th January 1919 aged 26. He is buried in his home town of Willenhall near Wolverhampton in St Giles Churchyard, the church where he was baptised in January 1893. #EOHO @CWGC.

Today on #EOHO duty for @CWGC I tidied up the resting place of Flying Officer Victor Houghton Wicks, died Aug 1921 when the R38 airship had a structural failure and crashed into the Humber Estuary. Always rewarding to uncover words on kerbs - Per Ardua Ad Astra in this instance

Made the most of a dry morning and I have done a spot of #EOHO . I did spot something and wondered if anyone can tell me have the @CWGC @HelenR864 Green signs changed . The first one is at Edington Priory church in Wiltshire and the second one is at Bratton church in Wiltshire.
