#ElamFire Update: Our Firefighters will continue to work on containment and mopping up throughout the night. The fire is currently at 6.5 acres. #LassenNF #AlmanorRD
The #ElamFire on the #AlmanorRD has grown from 2 acres and is currently at approximately at 4-5 acres with moderate rate of spread. We have crews on scene and making good progress considering there is heavy dead and down material. Resources will continue to monitor it overnight.
#ElamFire near Butt Mountain in Lassen NF, far eastern Tehama Co. IC reported 3-4 acres, couple of spots below the main fire, moderate potential. T94, T95 & 3 copters assigned to this one.
The #LassenNF staff is investigating the reporting of a two acre fire on the #AlmanorRD off Highway 32 in the area of Deer Creek Canyon and Elam Campground. Please continue to monitor our social media channels for updates.
UPDATE: July 15, 2021 - 8:30 a.m. #ElamFire was surveyed to be at 6.5 acres. A dozer line has been completed around the fire. Resources will continue to work on containment and mop up throughout the day.
