Coding automation's zero-tolerance for error makes it the perfect stress test for the low-variance output autonomous agents require for reliable long-horizon planning.
There are certain classes of errors that the coding models simply never make (basic syntax errors and the like); I’ve stopped caring about those, and meanwhile continue to invest in skills around organization, abstraction boundaries, ideal user workflows, and data model design.
Even simpler, don’t ever make any human mistake possible, at all, in decades old codebases that have been created by a lot of different developers, and keep doing that, forever
1. Every malloc must have exactly one matching free 2. Never dereference pointer to memory that was freed It’s really THAT simple.
It's even simpler: 1. Don't make any mistake, ever, even in codebase that spans millions of lines of code, decades in development, across various developer teams across time and in different parts of the world, with imperfect communication channels
No matter how many times you do it you’ll forget and it’ll have a new error next time. FYI
7. Use “deliberate imperfection” in examples Giving perfect examples makes the model lazy. We started including one intentional minor flaw in examples, then asking the model to fix it. Error reproduction in debugging tasks went from 44% → 97%. The model learns to think like a…

My code compiled without errors on the first try Call me senior dev guys
4. I will have to state the obvious for this one😅: fix the code and watch out for redlines. Most IDEs help with this by using squiggly lines to show errors. The hardest type of bugs to fix are the ones that show no lines. These type of bugs can mostly be solved by experience.
🎯 Want consistent, predictable error flow across your entire codebase? This guide breaks it down simply. #JavaDeveloper
Obviously our code never has errors but if it did we'd be using the cause property allthingssmitty.com/2025/11/10/err…
Well do keep in mind that code with zero bugs is impossible 😁....it should consist of a bug then it will be considered that you have written a code by yourself without taking help of an AI.
but that decision itself of allowing not-so-correct code and completing it so that the end output is correct is intentional. obviously, ideally one shouldn't ship broken code but this still seems to be feature. if anything, it's a compliment on how insanely well browsers have…
“Hey write this code in javascript without any errors”
You want to avoid situations where a small mistake can lead to a valid, but unintended expression. E.g., `if (len = 0)` always evalutes to `false` in C, and is likely not your intent
