For #FrescoFriday, a bit of a puzzle. This fresco from the House of Jason in #Pompeii is listed as Pan playing the syrinx, accompanied by a 'nymph' on a lyre. Why does Pan have human legs? He also carries a thyrsus, which is more common for a satyr or Dionysus. Also ... 1/ 📸 me
