I often hear that the only UI for git should be Console and there is no good GUI. I disagree. I'm using #GitExtensions + #WinMerge duo every day and so far I've used Console maybe twice. It simplifies all cases I've imagine.

GUI all the time. #gitextensions I also don't believe people who say they can do more with the terminal, at least I've yet to meet the person to convince me. Sure you are faster when everything is easy peasy. A big interactive rebase with merge conflicts though...
I must have had this enabled years ago when using #GitExtensions on Windows. I thought they'd pass --autosquash, but in fact they didn't. Meanwhile, I reordered everything myself. Anyone got a reason why this shouldn't be the default? Are developers missing out on this magic?

I find #GitExtensions to be the best got client on Windows. I tried both GitHub Desktop and SourceTree but was very disappointed by either their lack of features or their unintuitive UX. Bonus fact: #GitExtensions is made with #csharp.
Well I am sure some people would miss sourcetree as it is very common and widely used I think. For me it was never a thing as I worked with #gitextensions and never missed a thing. It has even more options than sourcetree. But you do you & choose the tooling you work best with 👍

I used many different GUIs for Git version control. I was using @GitKraken for some time. The GUI looks cool, but it was very slow in @UnrealEngine repository. The command line is nice, but if you need a fast (very) GUI: try Git Extensions: github.com/gitextensions/… #GitExtensions
Dealing with hdpi support and scaling issues on #GitExtensions I've found that #WinForms has issues calculating padding/margins for few types of controls, like UpDown control... Could be something similar here
For those that use @GitKraken, what are your favorite features? How does the builtin merge tools handle JSON? Currently a #GitExtensions user and love it but #KDiff is terrible at JSON. Beyond Compare is another option since I already have a license.
