I would rather ask "Don't you still use Multipath TCP on FreeBSD?" There was ongoing work to implement #MPTCP v0 by an Australian guy Nigel Williams in 2012–2015 (sponsored by Cisco University Research Program Fund). Which seems later was just abandoned: lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/free…

Working with FreeBSD people at @netflix is always fun. "Can you throw 100 Gbps of live customer traffic at this patch and tell me if it improves performance?" They provide an amazing QA service to the FreeBSD community.

Re @freebsd: when is it going to integrate the #MPTCP v0 patches into its' mainline kernel? And is there any effort done in implementing the v1 of this transport protocol? I very much doubt that.


OK, the jubilarian is not the #MPTCP protocol itself, but the 51.8 Gbps throughput experiment using six links of 10 Gbps Ethernet.
