Scrambled up Polly Dome, and saw some #goodfire to the north & south. Yay to normalization of #managedfire ! The amount of holding features this landscape has certainly helps, & not everyone has the opportunity to manage fire in this way for many reasons; there’s a lot to unpack.

Crews successfully burned out another 370ac yesterday, bringing the managed fire in the HD Mtns to 407ac. Firefighters onsite this weekend.
Update: #willowspringsfire contained yesterday 4pm. #wildfire cause undetermined, but #managedfire approach was used to control the fire. Terrain & weather allowed fire managers to use the wildfire to reduce dangerous fuels & improve forest health, just like with #prescribedfire.
