#meta_learning itself is not super hot news, it's been around for a while (see also proceedings.neurips.cc/paper/2020/has…), but it's been limited to small networks and simple rules because it's computationally pretty expensive to model spikes, and run sims for plasticity-relevant durations.


PS it all works better on ALBERT, but their suggestion is extreme and has some #meta_learning Implications, so it is to be expected.
