Today we pay tribute to Ethel Armstrong MBE who has died aged 90. Ethel joined the RVI as a nurse cadet in 1948 - the year the NHS was founded - & joined us when we celebrated #NHS70. She worked as a radiographer & played a key role in establishing the NHS Retirement Fellowship.
