My analysis for the Product Visibility Challenge by #NervsDataChallenge @getnervs. Using Python & Power BI on 1,500+ outlets, I found a "Wide but Shallow" market: Big brands have huge reach, yet 40% of shops face stockouts & the informal sector lacks cold chain infrastructure.
Lost my entire file TWICE today. Had to rebuild everything from scratch… twice. But I refused to quit. Just submitted my dashboard for the #NervsDataChallenge Coca-Cola is dominating Alimosho, PET bottles are king, and shops are carrying most of the Outlets @getnervs

6. Ikotun emerges as one of the standout hotspots. The map indicates: - A strong footprint of Coca-Cola and Pepsi products around Ikotun. - High retailer density leading to greater visibility and stock turnover. #NervsDataChallenge
3. Most of the distribution happens in shops and hawking points. This tells us that the soft drink market here is heavily driven by informal retail. If a brand wants to scale fast, these are the first channels to target. #NervsDataChallenge
2. Coca-Cola came out as the top-performing brand, with a penetration of 68.53%. This simply shows that Coca-Cola is the brand most likely to be available whenever a customer walks into an outlet. #NervsDataChallenge
Below are the key insights: 1. A total of 1,500 outlets were surveyed, and only 39.67% of them were well stocked.i.e the majority of outlets still have room for stronger product presence. #NervsDataChallenge

I analyzed the soft drink market in Alimosho Lagos and found a shocker: It’s not about supermarkets. 86% of sales happen in small, informal shops. Coca-Cola & Pepsi lead, but American Cola is #4 and 76% PET Bottles vs 3% Cans. #NervsDataChallenge @getnervs @ezekiel_aleke
