I noticed it wasn´t possible to expose the hue port of the color correct node in Octane to shift colors using a texture. So I made the #OpenShadingLanguage Hueshifter: As my RND_UVs OSL this is made to work with Octane´s random color. @OTOY #OSL silverwing-vfx.de/Download/Octan…

I am actually having a lot of fun writing custom Shaders so I have recreated the glass shader using OSL✨It has some additional inputs with respect to the existing one and it supports Sharp, GGX and Beckmann distribution. #Blender #OpenShadingLanguage #cycles #weirdhobby

So you know what I have been doing this week: @Blender thank´s for the inspiration! Using @MaxonVFX #cinema4d @OTOY #octane #openshadinglanguage Script kiddie at it again. I bet this script could be optimized a lot. After 3 Days of heavy brain juice I am just happy it works!

I just managed to compile and run #OpenShadingLanguage (including all it's dependencies) on Windows. While it sounds like something trivial, it feels like an achievement ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ohhh, I heard about the new changes in the #OpenShadingLanguage... yay :D Finally. Can not wait for OSL 1.9 :)

Anyone here use OSL #openshadinglanguage in Blender? I wonder if this is the same as this one: github.com/imageworks/Ope… From what I remember it was lower level than cycles or eevee nodes, but then again many people can generate shapes and patterns using cycles or eevee.
