Hm… Yesterday, "perlbrew install perl-5.28.3" failed on two different hosts (no problems w/ 5.30.3). Today, "cpanm App::Cpan" (v2.28) timed out; bypassing the tests w/ "--notest" works, but tests exist to be run (and passed) prior to installation. #Perl #perlbrew #CPAN #cpanm

github.com/gugod/App-perl… It seems a good idea to me to make #perlbrew `--verbose` flag effect the underlying `curl` / `wget` command -- this can be useful when there might be connection problems. perlbrew users, what do you think ? Please comment in PR or tweets. :)
github.com/gugod/App-perl… If you set NO_COLOR env var, it may lead to test failures when installing some recent version of perls. Before the next #perlbrew release, a quick circumvent is to unset NO_COLOR before `perlbrew install`.
I find this particularly important as I have self-compiled Perl versions from #perlbrew and static /usr/bin/perl always refers to system Perl.
