In general, I don't think we do ACE anymore...neither sensitive nor specific, doesn't correlate with activity. Plus, there're #granulomas, the #PreTestProbability is such that a negative is irrelevant (it's not specific to sarcoid). Stains for sure (I literally just got them...)
In our cases, we did not even attempt to define the "normative" or correct individual probabilities. I made the #pulmonarynodule case using a calculator so #pretestprobability was 80%; sensitivity of transthoracicneedlebiopsy is ~90%. So the "normative answer is ~72% (blue dots)

So with the Pandemic, the #pretestprobability is high, then the negative predictive value of the test is low. So we are all COVID positive until proven otherwise with time. Test only when Symptomatic. #StayAtHome all the time.
