#ReadyMath is probably the worst math curriculum ever. It’s bad enough they have very little scaffolding embedded in the standards, but their attempt to be multicultural in every lesson with names in problems is taken twenty steps too far. Give me John or Sally in a story problem

As part of TDC protocol in #ReadyMath, we introduced teacher leaders this week! We Try It for about 5 mins, then the teacher leader will explain their thinking (no matter the correctness). We are learning to be leaders & embrace mistakes! @oamarrero @WestIrondequoit

In math, I broke a word problem into 3 steps and wrote 3 separate equations. One student wanted to share his interpretation of the problem because he created one equation. I didn’t ask him to come up with- he just did! @CurriculumAssoc #ReadyMath #confidence
