#RenderScript is tricky to work with, even using standard functions. In my experience, it often runs on the CPU instead of the GPU or DSP as intended. It's still fairly fast, but doesn't match the performance of dedicated hardware acceleration. #AndroidDev



Part 7/7 #Vulkan is a great API, but the level of complexity introduced is orders of magnitude greater compared to using the provided #RenderScript intrinsics.

Blurring APIs in Jetpack Compose are a bit limited. If you want to blur everything behind a composable, that is not simple. I’ve needed this so many times. Haze is the way to go 👇
