Today we dispatched a volunteer to @OCTranspo Blair Station to pick up 2 apparent #WindowCollision birds. Also a fish, which led to intense speculation as we waited impatiently for photos from Melissa (who once found a trapped hawk that was in fact a groundhog true story). 1/4

This is a Boreal Chickadee, a rare visitor to #Ottawa, killed by a #windowcollision today near Dow's Lake. It's our 2nd of this northern species in 3 days, and the volunteer who found it is especially saddened because she's never had the chance to see a live one.
