RT @WorldOfWork_IO: A1 As long as we continue to live in a shareholder capitalist dominated society, work satisfaction inequality will continue to grow. Low skilled labor will need to be cheaper than automated or robotic labor #WorldofWorkChat

"A shift away from stable work, need to standardise access to basic human rights like housing, water, electricity, groceries etc etc and lean away from reliance on salary perhaps? @ruthnibheolain " - 🤔Bingo !!! #WorldofWorkChat

Agree @POL_Research #SocialCare should be looked as a Right not as a COST. #worldofworkchat

Very likely! Alternative ways of compensation could become more widespread eg time banks. #TheWorldOfWorkChat

A5: use this time to get to know your team deeper. Many of us are reflecting & learning about ourselves. Great opportunity to have those conversations. I'm personally very curious about motivation & future vision of self & taking about it with my team. #WorldOfWorkChat

Thought he was going to slide her right off the stage 😬 #Jefferson&Adrianita #WorldofWorkChat

When it comes to vulnerability... leader goes first - we start the dance. We set the stage for trust and openness #WorldOfWorkChat

Really sorry to have missed this week's #WorldofWorkChat (baby's bedtime waits for no person!) Am now scrolling through all the responses to see if there's anything I can do to help my upcoming transition! Some great responses!

Have we made a positive contribution tonight? #worldofworkchat 👍

This was awesome! Where did the hour go? #WorldofWorkChat

@NicoletteOlivia 💯 as a leader saying "I don't know, AND we will figure this out together. You'll know where we are at each step of the way." And then actually walking that talk will increase trust & engagement. Saying the words & not following thru ... No bueno #worldofworkchat

A3) Problem is most CEOs are looking at #AI / #Robotics as cost cutting tools while tech see them as Employee Augmenting tools. There is a difference that can be measured in dollars and cents. Also not every displaced worker can be trained for a new job. #WorldofWorkChat

A1) *Noah here! 👋 I earnestly hope #futureofwork is filled with more human experiences like enterprise social. Too many of us shy away from convening. Our relationships will bring greater resilience. #WorldofWorkChat

A4) I have been asking my team to give me 3 words that describe the day and I give them my 3 words... it has helped get past the "ok" or "fine" and then we can get curious about a particular word or see changes in patterns a bit more clearly #WorldOfWorkChat

Echo this answer: learning new ways of leading (remote teams); pivoting business offerings (what is short term what is long term); supporting teams wellbeing as well as own; thinking thru safe re-opening strategies; filling others cups as own get depleted #WorldOfWorkChat

A6: ACT - take action and reflect as you DO. Small steps are MORE THAN OK. Experiment - take on side projects, engage in different conversations, get yourself out there. It is not all in one day. Small actions go a long way. Be LOVING towards self #WorldofWorkChat

A3) what is working for me and what is not? #worldofworkchat

A6 – What drives one person does not drive another. Find out what DOES drive your employees and see if you can utilise that. Get to know your employees as humans rather than just numbers – money isn’t a motivator for everyone. #WorldofWorkChat

A5) the best stuff we did has been impromptu, then developed into a team ritual. I remember someone wrote MVP on a card and put it on a colleagues desk & then the next week that colleague moved it someone elses. Thus a ritual was born for 4 years. spot potential #WorldofWorkChat

ooops typo #WorldofWorkChat - I should say unoffiical non-work sanctioned parties - they started great for breaking silos then.....

I used to be responsible for organising mega parties at one place of around 300 staff.. Regional staff would time their head office visits to coincide. We draank far too much and it was fun for aa lot but also unhealthy. I came to regret it a bit & stepped back. #WorldofWorkCh at

A2) Ah such a toughie! For the longest time, celerbating success was not healthy, partying , office culture etc. But booking holidays (the actiual proces of booking) became the celebration. #WorldofWorkChat

A6) If you have access to it, use professional career coaches to help find your feet in the early part of the new career, role or period. Sometimes having a navigator gives time for you to be a much better pilot #WorldOfWorkChat

A1) I really like Louis (1980) typology of career transitions - splitting interrole and intrarole. It highlights we all go through multiple and yet probably aren't fully prepared #worldofworkchat
