My first ever sighting of an eastern screech-owl in Central Park! This owl was flushed by a raccoon and was at first only visible through our thermals. The owl then flew in closer so we could get a better look. I have not seen the owl since that magical night. ✨💕🦉 #birdcpp

🎉🎉🎉 It's always a thrill to spot an American Kestrel in Central Park. Though it's still quite common, Kestrels are facin a steep decline--at least 50% since the 1970s. This beauty spent quite some time preening early this morning! 🧡🖤🧡 #Kestrel #CentralPark #birdcpp
Blue Dasher Dragonfly - These insects are skilled hunters, successfully catching up to 95% of their prey.
