Attempting to find out the current size of a BTRFS snapshot has turned into spelunking through the InterNet, whereas with #ZFS it's as simple as zfs list ...#BTRFS really shouldn't exist.

Linux #btrfs recovery from a disaster by a defeated CPU: 1. scrub and manually find/read all files 2. delete csum error file, and reinstall pkg that contains it 3. btrfs send/recv and reformat old, any files that are unable to delete will be delete-able. Nice experience.

Finally was able to setup #Ubuntu server with #BTRFS, #LUKS Full disk encryption (#FDE), auto decrypt partitions with a USB key without need to enter LUKS password on boot and loving it ❤️ More on this here: techhub.social/@dsoft/1101192…

Ça y est ! #BTRFS ça commence à rentrer ! Vous vous rappelez, j'ai testé Nobara Linux il y a un moment ! Je n'ai pas assez de place sur la VM pour faire les MàJ. Après agrandissement de la partition, j'ai tapé la commande btrfs de mémoire, et c'était la bonne !

:#BTRFS & #OpenStack Nova, because why not! w/ my old @AMD Opteron server (SATAII) there's not much separating XFS from BTRFS in terms of IOPS. I've a PCIe SATA card is coming & I know it'll be faster (vs my garbage onboard controller) but I'm hoping for more interesting results.

So week one in the books. My transition to @Fedora w/ Gnome has been more or less smooth. I was bummed I couldn't get the system to run w/ #BTRFS (will try again in the after now) and I've not been able to get ModemManager to work properly, but everything else Just Works™.
