Interesting! @rabe_b also ran analysis within families to compare siblings from priority year groups who went back earlier and found differences in outcomes even with this ‘natural control’ - within families. @usociety #insightslaunch

FSM is too crude a measure to use when targeting strategies to facilitate remote learning during a pandemic says @NicolaPensiero @usociety #insightslaunch

Pupils who had parents working from home, in professional occupations and who had access to their own computer spent ~48mins more per day learning cf. The most disadvantaged. Children of single parents were particularly disadvantaged. @NicolaPensiero @usociety #insightslaunch

We kick off our #insightslaunch with a presentation from @Tamsin_J_Ford @psychiatry_ucam on mental health findings during the pandemic - some presented in Insights 2022, and more focusing specifically on children

Mental distress also increased in the early stage of the pandemic, but this was across the board and being furloughed didn't make people feel more distressed. #insightslaunch
