Using data from the UKHLS #COVID survey and pre-pandemic data, this @NatCen analysis found that furloughed workers felt less secure in their jobs and had higher levels of financial insecurity. #insightslaunch
Mental distress also increased in the early stage of the pandemic, but this was across the board and being furloughed didn't make people feel more distressed. #insightslaunch
