This model deserves some extra attention as it explains why Germany is struggling to lower emissions. In the low emision, 100% renewable scenario costs skyrocket as you need more storage, transmission & redundant generation to cope with #intermittency. 50% Nuclear fixes this.

⚡ This should be considered wholistically to a greater degree from the outset IMO, but seems to be nobody's problem🤔 ..Then again, I'm admittedly a cheap bastard who gets annoyed by the thought of being price nudged into cooking my dinner whenever the grid is not congested.
