Modular microservices architecture can increase agility. 💡Talk to us, and we can explain how we leveraged AWS cloud to create and roll out apps and then do continuous development and innovations on the app. #awsexpert #modularmicroservices #architecture #awsoptimization

Microservices are great, especially for the cases I almost never have 🤪. That's why I keep building modular monoliths. However, if you want real microservices, each service needs its own process boundary.
The modular approach of microservices demonstrates how technology can evolve to tackle modern system complexities by enhancing flexibility, allowing businesses to innovate rapidly while ensuring reliability and scalability without overburdening resources. rt @antgrasso

When talking monoliths or microservices, most of the conversation seems to be about the components/services. This post stands out because it makes the data the focus. As it should be. binaryigor.com/modular-monoli…
Microservices Architecture Overview Imagine a city with many specialized shops instead of one giant supermarket. Each shop focuses on one thing: bakery, butcher, pharmacy, clothing, etc. Together, they serve the whole city — but each can run independently. Components → User…
𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘃𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 - 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿? They're often seen as two extremes when it comes to software architecture. But what if you're thinking about this the wrong way? Let's do a side-by-side comparison. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵:…
Microservices let you break your app down into multiple parts. Each part functions and is managed individually - so if one part breaks, the whole app doesn't crash. Here, @Oluwato25390240 teaches you how to build resilient & SOLID microservice systems. freecodecamp.org/news/solid-pri…

How to Build Resilient Microservice Systems – SOLID Principles for Microservices
We are in the era of transformative technology with several innovations springing up to improve service delivery and enhance customers’ satisfaction. More so is the introduction of microservices and...
I've worked with many different software architectures over the years. There's one that clearly stands out for its benefits: 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. Modular monoliths blend the simplicity and robustness of traditional monolithic applications…
StackOverflow and Shopify are running a Modular Monolith architecture. What do they know that you don't? I've held two talks so far about Modular monoliths. Modular monoliths combine the qualities of monolithic and microservices architectures. It's like they take the best of…
“Microservices are silver bullets.” This statement led to the collapse of an entire department and the manager getting fired eventually. The first movers in a toy project, the so-called innovators and the marketers convinced the higher management (CTO, CIO levels) that…
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 (𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿) 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁? In recent years we have seen a large increase in apps built by using a microservices architecture. The main reason why we select this approach is to have small teams that can work in…
How do you migrate from Monolith to Microservices architecture? Bad way: - Start building a monolith without a plan - End up writing a tightly coupled mess - Realize you have a problem - Save face by moving to microservices - End up with a distributed monolith 💩 Smart way: -…
To quote Martin Fowler: "You shouldn't start a new project with microservices, even if you're sure your application will be big enough to make it worthwhile." The main reason for this is the complexity of microservice-based systems. I don't want to dive deeper into this. But…

So ... 2020 is the year we realise that the microservices architectural style is not a silver bullet? Better late than never. 👏 I have a talk about modular monoliths, which was described as “Super boring, outdated, old”, but it might be useful now 😂😉 -> youtube.com/watch?v=5OjqD-…

Modular Monoliths • Simon Brown • GOTO 2018
If your primary motivation for building microservices is to enforce modular architectures, think twice. Modularity is solved within the JVM (JPMS, OSGi, JBoss Modules; even multimodule builds get you far), don't pay the price of distributed computing + remote calls just for this.
