Our students tested Growing NCA by @zzznah on the Sierpinski triangle🔺, trained on generating the lower half of randomly selected patches. The NCA model didn't see the area below the orange line during training. #NeuralCellularAutomata, @CS_TUDarmstadt


Just discovered early segmentation results from mid-2022 on my drive! Using Neural Cellular Automata to predict 8 classes on the cityscapes dataset. Each cell reveals a different NCA channel. @CS_TUDarmstadt! #NeuralCellularAutomata


#NeuralCellularAutomata is an excellent means for #TextureSynthesis (everything is seamless). It's interesting to see how this learned #NCA decomposes the underlying visual structure of the skin pattern.

Same rules applied over and over …in time and space? How does it know where to put the red bars? How does information propagate? Is it the backprop of the ground truth? Is it the hidden kernels/masks in the convolution that encode information? 🤔 #NeuralCellularAutomata ☁️
