I see this inefficient thing coming: side cars. It‘s like Filter or Aspect in Java. #OAuth2Proxy as a side car, configuration is awful, the whole app is becoming complex, especially on bug search. Prefer simple integration directly in Java or build standalone gateway.

Switched from Nginx to @traefik and from #oauth2proxy to @pomerium_io as a identity aware proxy this weekend. Feels very good! Both projects are easy to integrate in @kubernetesio and both have a really good documentation.
