If you have a #powerbi dataset in import mode with an on-premises data gateway, where is the data refreshed? In the service itself (meaning data flows from source to gateway to service), or on the gateway (data flows to gateway, is processed and sent to service)? #pbihelp

I have 2 PBI Desktop files. Both have a connection to the same Azure SQL database, but they use a different SQL users. It seems when I update the data source settings for one file, it overwrites the settings for the other file. Annoying. Any idea on how to fix this? #pbihelp

Week 1 with #PowerBI and I could use a little #pbihelp. I can't find a @microsft visualization for doing dual-axis scatters. Do I really need to buy a 3rd-party one or do something custom with R? It is commonly used for scientific analysis; I'm surprised that it doesn't exist.

I have a dataset in a shared #powerbi workspace. Sometimes the refresh takes minutes, sometimes it goes over an hour. In Desktop it refreshes quite fast, no problems there. How can I debug this? #pbihelp

Hi, I have data where it refresh on regular basis. I want to display the dates on basis of refreshed date. For Weekly, MTD and YTD. For example Data is refreshed today that is today 5/5/2022 For weekly 28/4/2022 - 5/5/2022 For MTD 1/5/2022 - 5/5/2022 Thanks #powerbi #pbihelp

I have some wildly varying refresh durations on a dataset. Somewhere between 2 minutes and 45 minutes. In #powerbi desktop, a full refresh on the same data takes about 3 minutes. Nothing special in the dataset (no directquery, composite, incremental ...). #pbihelp

.@MSPowerBI I sometimes have this issues with desktop not scaling well. It's now on W10 laptop, but it also happens on a W8 laptop attached to a 2nd screen for example. This is the June update btw. #pbifamily #pbihelp

#PBIHelp I have a Date dimension table constructed with DAX, it has a separately defined calculated column which checks for future dates by looking at the Max date of a Fact Table. I no longer need this calculated column, but when I try and delete it I get the message below. 🤔

#pbifamily - does anyone have experience with B2B sharing whilst using Okta? Okta keeps redirecting to the users primary tenant, rather than allowing them into the guest tenant, and we're stuck in an endless loop! Once they get in - they see the following message: #pbihelp

Tweeps! I need some #pbihelp - anyone else seeing this error message but only for certain tenants? I am able to log into most tenants I need to, but I am having issues with this one (tenant is in South Africa). Bandwidth issue? User error? I've tried multiple machines/browsers.

My brain is fried this morning. Have created an App (via app.powerbi.com/embedsetup) and as such it has the proper permissions. However, not until I add the App as "user" in the workspace, is it allowed to see any workspace (using P/shell or C#) What am I missing? #PBIHelp
