What a fun afternoon dropping our rockets into water! We spoke about why plastic is a good material as it floats in the water. We realised that the bottles needed to have the lids on so that the water didn’t get in and cause the rocket to sink! #pdascience #pdadt

We have been learning about adults and their offspring in #pdascience . Using our great science vocabulary, we explained how offspring inherit their parent’s genes and so can resemble them.

We have had lots of fun this afternoon going on a planet hunt to find our class alien. We had to remember the properties of each planet and work together as a team to find them😁 #pdascience

We loved developing our learning about the heart by delving deeper…. inside it using an AR heart app! We could see the heart beat and all the arteries and veins connecting our incredible circulatory system! #pdascience

We have been learning all about the sun this afternoon. We talked about the importance of the sun and how it gives us light and energy. We then enjoyed creating our own suns which are now hanging throughout our classroom😁 #pdascience #pdaart

This week in #pdascience we have been learning all about how our bodies grow and develop as we move through childhood! We collected data from each class by measuring the children’s hand span and we analysed the data - finding the average hand span measurement for each class! 🖐🏼

An afternoon of consolidation in reception. We had lots of fun discussing all the things we have learnt this half term about plants/seeds and caterpillars. We are very proud of ourselves for remembering so much😁 #pdascience

🪂 Today, we have been investigating Air Resistance! We made mini parachutes and tested how size affected the amount of resistance. The greater the surface area, the greater the number of air particles hit the object and the greater the overall resistance. #pdascience 🪂 🌟😊👏🏼

In Science, we have been learning about Earth & Space! We used play doh shaped in spheres to resemble the Earth and the torches acted as the sun. As well as orbiting the sun, we know that the Earth turns on its axis giving us day & night. #pdascience 🌎🌞
