#wslinux For performance reasons I made my WSL home directory external C:/lhome and made it case sensitive. But I can't share it as a windows share to my laptop on my home network. It complains case sensitive folders can't be shared. Is there some other way to share then?

The Tumbleweed (Rowling release) version of @openSUSE is now on the @MicrosoftStore to install it with #WSLinux.

Today will begin #MSBuild2021 and I can't wait to see what's new for #WSLinux and #WindowsTerminal. What a path Microsoft has traveled for 5 years by creating tools that I now use every day for my work.

Enough of this #WindowsTerminal and #WSLinux stuff. I'm going to contribute to the @msys2org. Awesome project there

Ok Wow. So two of my machines running WSL2 suddenly have no IP network address and can not resolve names via DNS. Renders Docker useless. Ouch. #WSL2 #WSLinux Has some internal only IP inet 172.31.71.220/20. apt update fails. Found a bunch of open github issues for it.

Painful. I save papers as "paper title.pdf". Whenever I tried to open papers in Windows many gave "file not found" error until one day I realized colon is not allowed in filenames! (i use linux mainly but dualboot). It also cant rename coz "file not found" but #WSLinux worked.

Node.js React Hot Module Reloading doesn't work in wsl2 using VSCode or notepad++. parcel or gatstby doesn't detect the changes in file and doesn't fire auto-build. Disappointed, going back to my native Ubuntu Server. #WSLinux #WSL #WSL2 @craigaloewen

Windows 10 file copy paste was very slow (m.2 nvme ssd), thought due to #WSL2 . Finally got the culprit :) In Windows File Explorer, on the View Ribbon, click 'Options' Uncheck these two options and click 'Clear'. #WSLinux #WSL #WSL2 @craigaloewen

Last but not least, one of my favorite hacks technology-wise - they learned @TensorFlow, @Twitter web scraping, API design, bash scripting with #WSLinux, and @ThePSF coding for the FIRST TIME and came up with this awesome API to report natural disasters in real time
