I'm both, Linux and Mac. They get along pretty well (Linus can read HFS+ file systems, for example). If Adobe made Lightroom and Apple made Pixelmator Pro for Linux, then I could ditch the Mac. Which is why they won't.
I tried once with mac as well. I wanted to use my mac air as a thin client to my m4 pro mac mini. VNC was horrible. I havent tried anything else yet and sorta gave up on it.

Apple made the M1 MacBook too good. The M1 Max was released in 2021 and has 400GB/s of memory bandwidth, even more than the NVIDIA DGX Spark. If you have an old M1 Pro/Max MacBook laying around, try running an LLM on it - it will likely run faster than a Spark or a Mac Mini.
