Geoffrey Hinton says he is particularly proud that one of his students fired Sam Altman because Sam is much less concerned with AI safety than with profits
With absolutely all due respect to Hinton it seemed odd to throw a specific jab at Altman. Is there an origin if their beef? Is it just that Hinton believes AGI will kill us all and Altman is pedal to the metal?
