A peanut picking experiment with this California Scrub Jay today at @AntonDataReport in California 😎

Today at @AntonDataReport a neighborhood #wildlife #conservation habitat and citizen science research lab 🌻 in #California

We planted so many native wildflowers, and now all the birds are watching where our sprouted seeds are 😆🌻

Our next #AskAstrobio guest studies hot springs, one of the most likely places for life on Earth to have originated. 🤔 Where do you think life on Earth originated?

Today in the #wildlife habitat! Ursula is an indoor cat and can’t hunt the wild birds due to being lazy. This was her first time in the garden and she loved it! #conservation #california

This one is for the dinosaurs! 🦖🦕 And the science! It was definitely for the science. And planetary defense!

IMPACT SUCCESS! Watch from #DARTMIssion’s DRACO Camera, as the vending machine-sized spacecraft successfully collides with asteroid Dimorphos, which is the size of a football stadium and poses no threat to Earth.

For the dinosaurs! The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission just smashed into the asteroid moonlet Dimorphos and planetary defense will never be the same. Here are the last images that #DARTMission took before impact: planetary.org/articles/nasa-…

If you missed the action earlier this evening, here's a sped up replay from NASA's DART spacecraft showing the final 10 minutes of its flight, culminating in a smash into asteroid Dimorphos nearly 7 million miles from Earth. spaceflightnow.com/2022/09/26/dar…

ATLAS observations of the DART spacecraft impact at Didymos!

Tonight, the world's first planetary defense test will take place, the Double Asteroid Redirection Test. At 7:14pm ET, DART’s impact will slow Dimorphos down, which will make it orbit Didymos faster. This technique could save Earth one day - the only preventable natural disaster.
