Microsoft manager. Can’t think in recursion. Not even loops. MS cooked.

How often do you *actually* use recursion in your programs? I'm not sure if I'm the only one here, but I'm going to put it out in the open: I've been programming for 20+ years, and while I understand recursion… I never use it. Ever. Seriously 🙂 I feel like there's a huge…

Climate was a massive money grab by creating fake demand for an "energy transition". Turns out China already cornered the supply of clean energy tech and AI capex follows real demand so might as well grift off that instead.

It’s amazing how AI came along with its massive energy needs and in a blink they just dropped ‘climate.’

Europe was basically planning for full blown communism built on climate alarmism and China completely blew away their plans. That and the Ukraine war. They'll never recover

They did it on purpose. It was just a political money grab. China didn't get the joke and autistically did it properly, robbing the grifters of the steal of a century

It's kind of crazy how in 1982 they made a movie where the easiest way to spot infiltrators in your midst was to ask to ask them simple, hypothetical questions and they would freak out and attack you.

People say things like this because they can’t imagine how heavily polarising political disputes can ever be resolved. For civil war, however, you need fissures and disunity within the state apparatus itself. I see nothing like that anywhere in Europe.

a lot of people, left and right, don’t get that voting hard left is as much a class signifier as where you went to school or skiing in the alps

too many people quote LKY the stern disciplinarian, and not enough quote LKY the optimist, the man who believed in a dream of a nation enough to spend a lifetime building it. chase the rainbow!!! 🌈🌈

One of my favorite quotes from one of the best leaders of the last century —"The sky has turned brighter. There is a glorious rainbow that beckons those with the spirit of adventure. And there are rich findings at the end of that rainbow. " (Lee Kuan Yew of course)

Complacent devs are disease. If they don't care about data or logic; they won't give a crap about "politeness". It's just a mask excuse for them. The only way to end their incompetence is to turn their stupidity into a circus for everyone to view: youtu.be/c3zZtVBspzU?si…

He's upset we get more views than his website frame analysis. Nah, It was something about "not being polite" but he'll let prolific liars like Randy Pitchford, DF members, & waves of total incompetent slop loving devs lie & gaslit people because they so "politely".

Statslike games are full of this kind of "get X bonus, but it also sucks for reason Y". I guess the ostensible reason is Game Balance but actually you don't need the negative. The game will feel better, and players' thinking much more clear, if you just do the positive part.

does anyone out there believe that simple minds can do things that more complex minds cannot do? If so, can you help me figure out, what are examples of those things?
