You are what is wrong with College Football.
I'm well aware that Texas won't make the College Football Playoff. But I will forever be fighting the good fight for teams like Miami, Vanderbilt, and Texas, who, "by the book" should be in the tournament. According to the CFP Committee Protocol G5's don't belong, BYU doesn't…
Sure as to these three. What about BYU though? That resume is flying under the radar.
BYU beating Penn State in a coaching battle would be more impressive than Oregon beating Penn State on the football field and the committee should take this into account
If Miami is so good why is 7-5 Duke in the ACC title game instead of Miami?
There is so much wrong with this 😂 the cherry picking is unreal.
2 Ten Win seasons (2018, 2021) which are Kentucky’s best season in 50 years weren’t enough to overcome 2 consecutive losing seasons. CFB can be a brutal sport.
I can’t believe that with all these openings UNM managed to hold onto Eck
Sources: New Mexico has agreed to a new five-year contract for football coach Jason Eck, who won nine games in his first regular season there. The deal includes an increase in average salary to $1.75 million from $1.25 million. He’s now under contract through the 2030 season.
For everyone counting out BYU because ‘they lost to the best team they played’, do you realize that Notre Dame lost to the TWO best teams they played? And really only have 2 decent wins on their resume?
Don’t let the SEC convince you that all their teams play a gauntlet of a schedule. Ole Miss’ schedule this season: 2-10 Arkansas 4-8 Florida 4-8 S Car 5-7 Kentucky 5-7 Ms St 7-5 LSU 10-2 Oklahoma 11-1 Georgia (loss) Texas A&M’s schedule this season: 2-10 Arkansas 4-8 S Car…
The doomsday scenario we should all be cheering for: BYU over Texas Tech Georgia over Bama Troy over JMU Duke over Virginia Boise over UNLV This would result in the SEC runner up MISSING the playoff while the committee HAS to put in one of 8-5 Duke, 9-4 Boise, or 9-4 Troy.
If BYU can’t make the playoff field after going 11-1 (with its only loss on the road to a top-five team) and qualifying for the championship game in a P4, then the field is too small.
How the top 15 should be ranked: 1 Ohio State 2 Indiana 3 Georgia 4 Texas Tech 5 Oregon 6 Ole Miss 7 BYU 8 Texas A&M 9 Oklahoma 10 Alabama 11 Miami 12 Notre Dame 13 Texas 14 Vanderbilt 15 Utah
10-2 Vanderbilt deserves to be in the CFP over: 11-1 BYU 10-2 Miami 10-2 Notre Dame 10-2 Utah 10-2 Virginia 9-3 Texas 9-3 Michigan 9-3 USC I say that as a Tennessee Vols fan.
CFBKings Top 25 • Week 15: 1. Ohio State 2. Indiana 3. Texas Tech 4. Georgia 5. Ole Miss 6. BYU 7. Texas A&M 8. Oregon 9. Miami 10. Notre Dame 11. Oklahoma 12. Alabama 13. Utah 14. Vanderbilt 15. Virginia 16. Texas 17. USC 18. James Madison 19. Michigan 20. Houston 21. Arizona…
11-1 BYU’s path to the playoff? 11-1 Texas Tech, a top 5 team in the country. 10-2 Virginia’s path? 7-5 Duke
This is hilariously embarrassing for the ACC
It all comes down to this 🏆 See you in the Queen City for ACC Championship weekend! 🔗 More info: theacc.co/25FCG 🎟️ Buy tickets: theacc.co/25FBtickets
Struggling with 5-6 Auburn should be enough for Alabama to drop. Miami got CRUSHED by the committee for their “trajectory” earlier. Alabama’s currently trajectory is losing at home to Oklahoma and needing a near-miracle drive to beat a bowl ineligible team. Miami and BYU 📈
We officially have a Power 3
Strength of Record for all the P4 teams participating in Conference Championship Games: SEC Alabama: 9 Georgia: 4 Big12 BYU: 7 Texas Tech: 10 Big10 Indiana: 1 Ohio State: 3 ACC Virginia: 28 Duke: 64 One of these things is not like the others.
The biggest BS is that Notre Dame should be out and BYU should be in. If you compare resumes, it's not close. BYU clears by a mile. Better SOR. Better SOS. Better record. Better win. Better loss. We also qualify to play a CCG that is a better matchup than ND has even played…
I think it’s fair to say that the bar for BYU to make the playoff is higher than literally anyone else in college football. 11-1 #28 SOS #7 SOR 2-1 vs ranked opponents 6 wins over 7+ win teams with 4 on the road And we have to beat a top 4 team to prove our worthiness. Wild.
