All right, I really should be doing literally anything else with my time, but I have certain compulsions, so here's a short thread on the Harvard thing. Or actually, not about Harvard per se, because I, like most Americans, don't really give a shit what goes on at Harvard.
This argument is speculative at best.
Lawyers bragging to their lawyer friends like “I absolutely roasted opposing counsel in my brief” when in reality in one sentence in their response brief they alleged opposing counsel’s argument was “without merit”
State bar associations need to start sanctioning lawyers who participate in making legally frivolous and factually baseless threats like this.

The Supreme Court ended affirmative action today. Expected but disappointing. Now do legacy admissions. They absolutely disadvantage people of color, women and families who have been low-income for generations. They must end.
I long to live in a sane country, where DC had actual voting rights, and members of Congress spent their time dealing with actual problems, instead of nitpicking the traffic rules of a city in which none of their constituents actually live.
In a draft federal spending bill, House Republicans are proposing a whole slate of new and old restrictions on D.C. The ban on legalizing marijuana sales would remain, the city's assisted suicide law would be repealed, traffic cameras would be banned, right turns on red allowed.
Appalling that they did this, appalling this behavior was allowed to go on for over a decade, appalling that these are the lawyers advising companies on labor and employment issues.

Great read here. It is unfortunate that we even need legislation prohibiting corporate lawyers from inserting illegal clauses into employee contracts. It should be a matter of basic ethics. Glad to see Molly and @PeoplesParity leading the way on this!
