My statement on the Bondi shooting attack.
We are clear that there is no room in this world for Anti Semitism and we must make every effort to make sure it is stamped out as the evil force that it is.
Leader @perayahmet: ‘We are shocked to hear about the attack on Bondi beach. ‘Our thoughts are with the victims, their families & the Jewish community in Australia & beyond. ‘We want our communities to celebrate Hanukkah safely. Police will be stepping up patrols in the area.’
Hornsey Town Hall is open. I’m looking forward to the Grand Launch next weekend.
My brothers and I relied on free school meals growing up. Proud that City Hall has now funded 100 million of them for London’s state primary school children ♥️
Small Business Saturday is this Saturday 6th Dec. It was great to be out alongside @CatherineWest1 discussing some successes and challenges with some of our shops in Crouch End. I hope you will be joining me in supporting small businesses in Crouch End this weekend!
In 1945, despair and hunger stalked many communities. Yet Labour rebuilt the country and built a welfare state. Today's Budget invokes the spirit of 1945. #Budget2025
What a historic milestone for London. Free school meals at primary school help children and families to thrive. More secondary school children will benefit under this Government too. This is what a Labour Mayor working with a Labour Government can do.
NEW: Today we’ve reached a truly historic milestone in London: 100 million free school meals served to children in our state primary schools. These nutritious meals are also helping ease the financial burden on families, saving them £500 per child, per year.
I am incredibly proud that this Labour Government have scrapped the two-child cap on universal credit. This is the most cost-effective measure we could take to lift half a million children out of poverty. We need to help children thrive by supporting their parents.
It is an honour and a privilege to represent one of the most inclusive and welcoming communities in the world.

This week I asked the Home Secretary about the serious issue of homelessness for those whose asylum applications have been rejected. The system needs reform but we must remain a place of sanctuary. Any changes must not become barriers to integration or community cohesion.

Onshoring in the fashion & textiles industry could unlock 64,000 new jobs. Britain is a global leader in camouflage fabric, yet as of 2013 just 6% of UK military uniforms were made in the UK. That's why I'm sponsoring a Backbench Debate in Parliament. fashioncapital.co.uk//insights/onsh…
