Beating every possible game of Pokemon Platinum at the same time

the main issue with video games is that a guy who, if he lived in 1820s germany, would have done something like document every type of beetle in his local province instead ends up making a 26 part youtube series about how to get all the rings in every sonic game

Undervalued strategy for a company is to go out of its way to reward behind-the-scenes or infrastructure work. Usually such work is in areas which are only talked about when things are going wrong; good to proactively let the people in those areas know they are seen.

I often marvel at the dynamic range of productivity that's out there. Once upon a time, a programmer wanted to make an online Dominion implementation, so they did it as a "weekend project". To this day, it's the nicest interface I've used for any online board game,

IIRC, dominion.isotropic.org originally used some kind of fancy cloud-based solution and then switch to running on a single machine in the guy's apartment and had better uptime than most companies with fancy multi-AZ and multi-region setups.
