The Corpse Project sleeps the sleep of the quasi-dead but its findings are still worth sharing! thecorpseproject.net/our-findings/

The trans community has to defend their gender and their body in life and in death. See our powerful Transfesto about what needs to change, the need for the right executor and making your wishes known Thanks @Genderintell @DyingMatters

Download our historical review by @doctorbarnett of the literature on the disposal of dead bodies in Britain. More diversity than you might think. Innovation is traditional. @DyingMatters thecorpseproject.net/our-findings/h…

Findings about burial. Deep burial won't feed the earth. Shallow can, decomposition varies depending on soil, water etc. A 'natural' burial beautiful, healing and can help wildlife: everyone travelling to it in cars will of course increase carbon footprint.

Latest human composting concept from @recomposelife. I once saw a fox decompose pleasantly enough in a humus-rich bed in a similar barrel, turned periodically. This could work and be restful and respectful? @DyingMatters

Findings on cremation: a tradition stretching over milllennia; 'ashes' are ground bone which don't feed plants much; a well-run crematorium can be compassionate and good with emissions. You can have the 'service' anywhere you like. @DyingMatters
