And if you’re curious at all about what thought went into this series of videos (and why I call it data-driven motion design and not just 3D animation like a normal person), I’ve described the creative process here: sloant.substack.com/p/behind-the-s…
“When I draw a molecule in China or in Argentina, it is the same molecule. People understand immediately without knowing Spanish or Chinese. That is beautiful. Our common goal is not about power or borders of the country, it is about bringing forward human knowledge.” - Ben…

Quiet interesting research
I injected the horse tranquilizer Ketamine and tracked my brain data for 15 days. It completely scrambled my brain. In a world-first we answered the question ‘what happens to the brain before, during, and after ketamine treatment?’ We also discovered how long it took for my…
Very pleased to announce the release of the NYU fastMRI breast dataset, which includes k-space data and reconstructions for 300 ultrafast breast MRIs with radial acquisition, including case labels. We hope to see what you can build with it.

Happy to have this published ...finally. Have a look if you are interested in understanding cortical columns, microcircuits, and the thalamus. Stay tuned for threads unpacking the paper... @lazarox8 @antoine_dedieu @jl_marino @ScienceAdvances science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…
In this lecture, I talk about the "curious" observation in vision that, if you "pay" upfront (in the No Free Lunch sense) with a hierarchical CNN inductive bias, you get back strong neural predictions of the intermediate layers, solely through task-optimization at the top layer.
