Keep your eyes on the skies tonight as late-season thunderstorms are possible as a low pressure system moves through southern Manitoba. The system will bring showers with 10-20 mm possible for the south through Friday and 30-40 mm for the north by the end of the weekend. #mbstorm


A strong low pressure system will bring rain, snow and windy conditions to central and northeast Manitoba through the Thanksgiving long weekend. Anywhere from 30-50 mm is possible for the region Sunday into Monday with mixed precipitation in central MB and snow to the NE #mbstorm

The cold front across the W (map) will act as trigger for this afternoon’s storms in the Red River Valley and SE. However, the risk for severe is conditional on cloud cover clearing. If storms do start, they will bring strong wind gusts, large hail, and more downpours! #MBstorm

Severe thunderstorms may move into some west-central MB regions later this evening, overnight, and early Wednesday morning. Strong winds will be the main threat over more northern regions, with large hail and heavy rain more likely over the southern areas. #mbstorm
