Every time I've knocked doors on a campaign, it's struck me: New citizens who have recently gained the right to vote are always the most informed, the interested to learn more about candidates' views, and the most concerned that they make the right choice. It's always inspiring

The last step is to center the patriotism of immigrants and explicitly argue in favor of assimilation. This is not a sacrifice. For the large part, immigrants are already patriotic, they self selected to join this country! I would know.
