Trans Day of Vanishing
Well my chronic pain insurance claim was denied. I asked for the claim file. They hadn't included any of my chronic pain appointments, notes, operations, and follow ups. Because, you know, having those might have made it harder to reject. Frustrating. On to a review.
My main source of dysphoria is an insatiable need to make dad jokes.
Struggling with the pain, but trying to smile and look pretty. I'm lucky I have this lovely lady to lay next to me in bed and make me laugh. 🥰
The worst: Just about to stand up, and a cat jumps on your lap. She always comes when I want to get up! I can't not give her some cuddles and pats since she graced me with her presence. I keep sealed bowls of treats throughout the house for these occasions.
If you follow me, and haven't read the comic "Facing the Sun" yet, I highly recommend it. Tesslyn is regularly putting out great work, and is always a delight any time I've had the good fortune of interacting with her over the years.
Well, my leave was approved through September, but FMLA expired today, and I appear to have been terminated. Long term disability has been in limbo much longer than anticipated. Sending good vibes and/or cat pics would be greatly appreciated.
I use those lists of movies with the Wilhelm Scream as a 'do not watch' list. Asset reuse, am I right?

Just met my trans neighbor's Bearded Dragon as they were walking home. I should really be happy for him that his parents are supportive about his transition, and I am. It's an experience I didn't have. I'm way more jealous that they're okay with a lizard in the house. So cute!
Same. Except my 3 year old will give me a "Mama, you have to shave!" after a few days, but he doesn't mind it; he just thinks I forgot. Low key, it's a loving reminder that I may be a little depressed.
