I've been loving the Acolyte both on its own terms and how it bridges the gap between the High Republic and Prequel eras. This video from @StarWarsExplain points out another great place of connective tissue from the latest episode youtu.be/dAiNiR2WFiY?si…

I've seen (perfectly legit) criticism of #DoctorWho 'Boom' asking why The 15th Doctor just ends the immediate conflict and doesn't also go on to dismantle Villengard's systems since they are the real villains of the story. Because he already did.

If anyone is super confused after watching the latest #DoctorWho episode (like I was), I highly recommend checking out @jessiegender 's review of it. A great lens to view the ep through youtu.be/YnYfTRe5fBE?si…

Such a well thought out decision. Everything I am seeing about this show has me hyped!

Leslye Headland explains why one writer in the writers room for ‘THE ACOLYTE’ had never watched Star Wars. “I was like, ‘I want you to be questioning narrative. I don’t want myself, who’s a lifelong fan, to just be relying on particular references in order to create emotional…

Wow, a chance to text Biden about things we may want, possibly flooding this text with calls for ce@sef!re in a certain place being beseeched with death and destruction from a US ally....

As Jill and I think about our New Year's resolutions, we'd love to hear yours. Text me yours at (302) 404-0880.

The most powerful scene to me. The Doctor finally being kind to himself! Allowing himself to stop running. Permission to forgive, grief, mourn, process and heal. No one else can do that for you. Sometimes YOU have to be the one saving yourself. What a message. #DoctorWho

There is no hetero explanation for this

How can YOU, a non-union member, support the strike? Resources below!

Neither the WGA or SAG-AFTRA is calling for a consumer boycott right now. If you want to support the strike, we're asking folks to: 1) Boost our message on social media 2) Donate to the Entertainment Community Fund, which supports affected workers secure2.convio.net/afa/site/Donat…

@adamconover genuine question: I'm having a hard time morally resolving whether I should skip seeing Barbie and Oppenheimer this week re: SAG/AFTRA solidarity. Thoughts?

Fucked for so many reasons, but here’s another: My grandma grew up on sets as a background actor. Would tell stories of them dressing her at 8 to play a slave in their lil golden age movies She kept her SAG insurance up to her death bc she got to keep working in bg. This matters

The studio’s A.I. proposal to SAG-AFTRA included scanning a background actor’s likeness for one day’s worth of pay and using their likeness forever in any form without any pay or consent.

I genuinely do not care what it means for Star Wars. If more content comes at the sacrifice writers/actors have to make, I don't want it.

To NON-UNION Actors: under the SAG-AFTRA Strike Notice and Order, "NOTICE TO NON-MEMBERS: Any non-member seeking future membership in SAG-AFTRA who performs covered services for a struck company during the strike will not be admitted into membership in SAG-AFTRA." 1/2

What the actual hell!

“They proposed that our background performers should be able to be scanned, get paid for one day’s pay, and their company should own that scan ... to be able to use it for the rest of eternity.” — SAG-AFTRA Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland reveals the AMPTP’s AI proposal
