In the first output from my PhD research, we find that day length is the most significant predictor of when twaite shad return to the River Severn during their spawning migrations, with high individual repeatability in timing of river entry between years: rdcu.be/c5VaX

We were buzzing when our humble twaite shad visited the coasts of Ireland and Devon before returning to the Severn a year later, revealing themselves as rock-hard ocean wanderers with some kickass navigational abilities. New paper out! #WorldOceanDay2020 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.10…

Set yourself a reminder. Application for NoWPaS 2020 will go live TOMORROW!!!! #salmonids #iceland 🐟🇮🇸
NoWPaS is very excited to announce our second keynote for our 2020 meeting in #Iceland: Dr. Kim Aarestrup. With 30 years of experience working with #salmonids, Kim's work entails a little of everything: physiology, behavior, telemetry, conservation and management 🐟 @AarestrupKaa
Your NoWPaS 2020 committee is THRILLED to have Dr. Erika Eliason as one of our keynotes!! Dr. Eliason studies how #salmonids are physiologically locally adapted to their environment, and their response to #climatechange. Check out her website: erikaeliason.com 🐟🐟
The NoWPaS website has gotten some TLC, check out our new look nowpas.eu 😍😎 #phdchat #salmonids #fishsci
