That's your response to everything, lads.

In @nytopinion “Cycling in the buff is a Portland specialty, and one organization has announced a naked ride ‘in response to the militarization of our city,’” our columnist @NickKristof writes. “Such is the war zone here.” nyti.ms/46PZtrL

1. Anyone who thought this case was a 'slam dunk' is an idiot. 2. It is hardly surprising that the executive's view on whether another country is an enemy is quite salient.

#BREAKING Sunday Times reports that *civil servants* Sir Olly Robbins and Jonathan Powell led crucial meeting which caused the collapse of Westminster 🇨🇳 spy case. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Note to journalists: 'recovering' is the preferred term.

I understand that on @BBCr4today this morning I was described as a “former barrister”. I am - but I’m also a current barrister and I plan to be a future barrister too .. (No hard feelings to @amolrajan who’s a great former journalist)

I see these are the new pornbots.

Yes, detention without trial for suspicious online activity is the solution we're crying out for.

Can this be done in the UK legally? Deportations are difficult if they don’t have another passport. To deal with radicals, you’ll need something like Singapore’s Internal Security Act and Department. This agency has broad powers to detain - without trial - and handle those…

This is a direct attack on my community i.e. the geriatric millennials.

Wait, what did you say was the name of the previous contractor?

Astonish story in @thetimes. A cleaner worked from 8am-5pm at Parliament, then 10pm to 6am at Deutsche Bank. Five days a week for 16yrs. And she’s been sacked. She deserves a medal!

"Jews are locked inside synagogues in 2025 in the UK. Take that reality in." Such a powerful piece by @Emmabarnett thetimes.com/life-style/cel…

As much as I love schadenfreude (which is really a lot btw), powers to detain and question without reasonable suspicion are bad, even when the person detained is George Galloway or Tommy Robinson.

AFAICT, Graham is right to say that repealing the remaining ss of s. 127 requires primary legislation and cannot, contra Harwood, be done at the stroke of the SoS's pen. The relevant section of the OSA is here: legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2023/50/…

Does anyone have any idea what power he's referring to? #OnlineSafetyAct

A court in which judges can be fired because the executive doesn't like their decisions is no court at all. Argue for this policy if you must, but let's not dress it up.

The first thing they did was fire all of the top immigration people at the DoJ that were appointed by Biden and place their own. Then they fired half of the Biden appointed appeal judges. At the lower courts they’ve fired hundreds of judges after reviewing their records
