Just took apart the RPLIDAR C1 from Slamtec, the common $65 LIDAR that almost every robotics project uses. Im actually really impressed with the build quality and accuracy (±2cm @ 15m). It even uses wireless power+data and a BLDC so no wearing parts! Teardown thread below🧵
