Excited to share that I will join @PurdueEAPS as an Asst. Prof. Fall 2024. It’s a privilege to be part of such a talented and welcoming community that inspires great science. Grateful for support from family, friends, peers, and mentors that has allowed for this opportunity (1/2)
💡Excited to share our new paper in @theAGU #GRL “Predicting Real Refractive Index of Organic Aerosols From Elemental Composition”. Huge thanks to @PengfeiLiuGT, Bin Bai, KeutschGroup @hseas, @SallyNgGroup, and collaborators @AerodyneRes @PKU1898 🔗 agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/20…
The Minneapolis skyline on a clear day vs. today! Same location in both images. Today, the Twin Cities in Minnesota has one of the worst air quality conditions in the world due to wildfire smoke from Canada. You can smell and even taste the smoke in the air today! An air quality…
The ghostly domes of St. Paul The Minnesota Capitol (left) and the Cathedral of Saint Paul were barely visible through the smoky haze earlier today. Air quality readings in the Twin Cities were among the worst — possibly THE worst — on record
As of earlier today, our office in Chanhassen has surpassed 100" snow for the season! We stand at 101.7" as of 7PM. This is the snowiest season on record for Chanhassen (records only dating back to 1995). We blew past 2nd place, which was the 2010-2011 winter with 90.2". #MNwx
Excited to share the work we’ve been doing at the University of Minnesota with collaborators at JPL and the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics
Our next session is looking at atmospheric multiphase chemistry and partitioning! Come to room 132 at 2 pm to hear more from these great speakers! #ACSSpring2023 #AtmosChem @rachelhems @SciHannah
An awesome light show is currently taking place in the night sky over my home state of Wisconsin!! Auroras are so cool!!
It's #GreatLakesDay! The #GreatLakes are a socially, economically & environmentally valuable resource, and NOAA works to protect & restore them. Today our Director & Regional Team Lead are in Washington D.C. meeting w/ Congress members who play a key role in shaping GL policies!
Wondering how to start your day tomorrow (Thursday) at AGU? Come on over to oral session A42D to hear some excellent talks on biosphere-atmosphere exchange! Also check out the in-person and online poster sessions A44B and A45J later in the day.
Making your #AGU2022 schedule? Come see my talk at AGU on *Thursday* morning in A42D: Biosphere-Atmosphere Exchange. I'll be sharing dif mechanism's predictions of [Organic Nitrates] to a variety of observations! Plus, see @JingqiuMao right after me. agu.confex.com/agu/fm22/meeti…
Carbon dioxide is giving Earth a jolt! Did you know there’s about 400 parts per million (ppm) of caffeine in coffee? There's over 400 ppm of CO₂ in our atmosphere today. If you've felt the surge of caffeine hitting your system, you've experienced the effects of just 400 ppm.
👏Congratulations to Prof. Dylan Millet (@DB_Millet), who received the 2022 Atmospheric Sciences Ascent Award from @theAGU for fundamental advances in understanding the sources, chemistry, and impacts of atmospheric organic compounds! Read more: swac.umn.edu/news/millet-as…
Can't believe it took me this long to to discover the legend that is the @wistatefair cream puff. So. Unbelievably. Delicious.
Very cool! This reminds me of an excellent visualization from the folks @NASAGoddard about the gradual northward shift of the boreal forests! youtu.be/Yi8SFOJffFA

Heatwave cooking sounds like a great title for a cookbook in a warming climate
I’ve been experimenting with heatwave cooking without turning on the oven or stove 🍳 (don’t need those extra few degrees at night). Discoveries include microwaving raw beets and potatoes, quick pickling onions, and marinating raw zucchini 🧑🍳🤗
