Just solved this. The fix is when using SQS, we detect timers longer than 15 minutes and cap them. After each 15-minute slice the workflow wakes up, then waits again until the full delay is reached. github.com/laravel-workfl…
big issue with that is SQS limitation, from the docs: > The Amazon SQS queue service has a maximum delay time of 15 minutes.

I appreciate the spiritual energy of "use workflow" tbh. Got my mind going all sorts of crazy directions.
OOP people are crazy. They will take the most mundane thing in programming ever - passing arguments to a function, and call it DEPENDENCY INJECTION, and then will sell you books and courses about it.
Here's an experiment that I've been working on. github.com/typescript-wor… It's basically Laravel Workflow but built in Typescript and it uses BullMQ and Redis.
