A timeless setting for tonight's @BBCRadio4 #AnyQuestions @newportcath. Razor sharp chairing by @vicderbyshire kept @Guto_Harri @DelythJewellAM @DavidTCDavies @JoStevensLabour @RainNewtonSmith on their toes. No @WelshLibDems made the cut but @LibDemBrend & I were there #GE2024๐ณ

Caring isn't just Ed's story, it's the story of millions, caring for each other, dealing with tough times, and keeping going with love. The Liberal Democrats will be the voice of carers every day, fighting their corner in Parliament.
I have just taken the candidates pledge to support the campaign to defend the right to strike by @strike_map & @ctufevents. All candidates can support the campaign here: actionnetwork.org/forms/candidatโฆ #RightToStrike
At this forthcoming election, the country is crying out for change after being so badly let down by the Tories, and the @libdems are ready to be part of the change we so desperately need. Here's what I said about that on today's Politics Wales ๐ฝ
With the announcement from the Prime Minister to call a general election on the 4th of July, I can now proudly say that I'll be the Liberal Democrat candidate for Torfaen.
Weโve introduced a bill to remove profit from the care of looked after children. ๐ gov.wales/bill-introduceโฆ This is what it means to care-experienced young people: ๐ @VoicesFromCare
Young Liberals are absolutely clear: any attempt to reduce the standard of care offered to trans young people is an utter disgrace. The Government should be making treatment more equal, more accessible and faster - with some young trans people waiting nearly a decade.
I'd just like to thank @VoicesFromCare for their brilliant work, as always. Being a VFCC Young Ambassador and Trustee might seem serious, but helping to wrap a scarf around the Senedd is pretty darn cool ๐ #CareDay24
I never anticipated standing next to the First Minister of Wales, or signing a declaration alongside him. But so it is written. Today is a day I will look back on with a great sense of pride.
It was a pleasure to meet these incredible young people earlier to sign our declaration to transform care services for children and young people. Our plans for reform have been developed with them and reflect their experience in the care system. Diolch i chi gyd.
When I was a candidate for the @WelshLibDems last year in the local elections, I made a pledge to campaign on changing the voting system in Torfaen Was I elected? No. Will I continue to campaign for electoral reform? Yes. ๐คcouncillors will take this seriously. @ERScymru
๐ณ A resident is calling for a change to the voting system in Torfaen so โresidents will actually see a council chamber that truly reflects the way they votedโ. ๐ณ Brendan Roberts today presented a petition to the council. ๐ Read the story here: cwmbranlife.co.uk/resident-callsโฆ
As an autistic person myself, I got pretty tired after a while of people using the puzzle piece symbol. As it has a bad connotation, as if to say we as autistic people are puzzle pieces that need to fit into a neurotypical dominant society. Well done to the @LibDems on this!
Today, on #WorldAutismAwarenessDay we celebrate our differences and advocate an inclusive, supportive world for individuals with autism and their families. We will always champion acceptance, embrace diversity and appreciate autistic people as valued members of our communities.
When I was working for the DWP the LHA used to completely baffle me. We need major reform. People topping up their rent with their 'UC Standard Allowance' or having to apply for 'Discretionary Housing Payment' has led to such a disconnected system.
My inbox is full of desperate families who are squeezed out living in Bath. Yet time and again the Government have done little to help ease the housing crisis I asked @mimsdavies how the DWP are tackling this, but the disappointing answer will do little to help my constituents.
After only asking @Wera_Hobhouse the other day about how we can better transition to electric vehicles it is somewhat humbling to see this. I'll continue my own work on improving infrastructure. But people really do need incentives to purchase an electric car.
Cars are here to stay, but we need to make them greener. The longer there is delay in improving EV infrastructure, the more damage we do to the planet and public health. The government must stop dragging its feet and start prioritising the transition to clean transport.
It's moments like this that remind me why I love British politics ๐ Be careful what you wish for @LeeAndersonMP_. Good luck delivering our leaflets outlining your obviously brilliant track record.
I don't always get on with people on both sides of the political spectrum. However, I still try to bridge the divide between us to better understand our similarities over a few differences. Violence has no place in our democracy.
The text on the placard read: โThe only good Tory is a dead Tory. The only good Lib Dem is a dead Lib Dem.โ itv.com/news/london/20โฆ
I haven't found anyone who likes the idea of a crap pension, low wages, and poor working conditions. So, join a trade union!
Today, half a million people across the UK walked out on strike. As Young Liberals, we stand in solidarity with everyone who is standing up for fair pay, their rights at work, and threats to their job security. (1/3)
