The thing to remember about New York City is that at any time, the wait list to move there is like 15 million people long. NYC will never in our lifetimes see a measurable exodus by population count (real estate values are another story)
It's weird seeing people say things like "cope and seethe" to Republicans about Zohran winning. Like, this wasn't really a political team thing, the guy seems like he'll legit ruin the economy and public safety. It would be surprising to me if there wasn't a measurable exodus.
Congratulations to my democratic friends for what is truly a prodigious night in headline numbers. Idk how scared I am; given how the GOP coalition favors election years and this is an off-off year, but admittedly not a good look. And of course, nothing of substance was lost.
Kind of annoying that the democrats are shutting down the government and the president's rhetoric implicitly concedes that it's Republicans' fault when it is in fact not
Switched to Atlas from Safari last week. Pretty good, but doesn't have the pdf viewer capabilities that Safari did. I'm loving not having to open websites myself do stuff in them though

The atlas browser’s inability to function as a pdf viewer is easily the worst thing about the app. It’s been a huge upgrade from safari, with the exception of this genuinely not-trivial issue.

In light of the democrats becoming the party of the affluent and well-educated, I suspect today’s SNAP shutdown won’t put very much pressure on anyone to end the shutdown.
I do really enjoy how the line is continuing to go through the ceiling
fracking quietly it made the US into the world's largest oil producer in a very short time at least some people stopped talking about it because we'd be a lot poorer and more beholden to Strange Countries if we didn't develop the tech
