I heard from someone yesterday that on @thismorning phone in, a Mother was at her wits end worrying about their son or daughter who was verging on suicide because of #OCD How many more are suffering, how many more unspoken voices.

Never underestimate yourself and what you are capable of! 👊🏻 #SASWhoDaresWins

I consider myself recovered from #OCD I do still get intrusive thoughts. Everyone does. They’re not exclusive to OCD sufferers. Don’t sweat them.

Massive 80’s movie fan. Just watching a documentary on ‘Flight of the Navigator’ 30+ years after, so sad to see the tough life the star Joey Cramer has had. As a kid he had issues which were unseen and it resonates with me as child with #OCD

So so pleased to hear that you’ve grabbed the #OCD bull by the horns for your 7 year old! If you haven’t already find a way to sensitively ask them what their intrusive thoughts centre on- what are they afraid of. You can then explain why they don’t need to worry.

Started your book yesterday 💪 the best thing we have done for a 7 year old with OCD is to normalise it. It’s taken away her fear of it and helped her recognise and disconnect herself from the ‘red thoughts’ quicker. #ocd #MentalHealthMatters

I feel like I need a high five. Today, out of nowhere, I was utterly overwhelmed with 'Pure O' intrusive thoughts. Spent 4 or 5 hours fighting them off while going about my day but deep down I felt hopeless. Finally, tho, I was able to regain control without compulsions. #OCD

Men's mental health deserves much more attention. Toxic masculinity has made men think that they can't have a mental illness or seek professional help for their mental health Men don't need to "man up," they just need to be given the proper support.
