MathCEP is dedicated to educational outreach. Our mission is to develop educational materials and programs for mathematics students & instructors at all levels.
Girls Excel in Math camp is coming up July 17-19 for middle school girls interested in STEM! Available to girls in 4th through 6th grade. Join us for hands on activities led by amazing women here at the U of M. Check out the link in our bio for more information and registration.
MathCEP has a lot of fun summer programs focused on learning and enrichment! Adventures in Math is open to students currently in or who have just completed 4th through 6th grade. Check the link in our bio for registration and a complete list of our summer programming!
<RUN>:\THE\WORLD Machine Learning Summer Day Camp empowers high school students to pursue STEM education by introducing them to cutting-edge machine learning technologies and applications that make a difference in the world. Seats are limited! Visit z.umn.edu/ML2024.

Oh, my! Mad Scientist, Prof. A, switched brains with Graduate Student B, but when the brain-swap machine didn't work the same pair of bodies, they lured Undergraduate C into the mix. What do they need to do to swap back? 🧑🔬🧠⚡️ Math Problem No. 6 is up at: z.umn.edu/mathcepblog

In just under two hours, the whole world will be watching the Perseverance rover as it lands on Mars. Today, we remember and celebrate one of the mathematicians who paved the way to feats such as these: Katherine Johnson. Read her biography here: go.nasa.gov/37P1xzW. 👩🔬🌌🛰️
Today we celebrate Creola Katherine Johnson (née Coleman; 1918 –2020) an American mathematician & NASA employee whose calculations were critical to the success of the first and subsequent U.S. crewed spaceflights. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katherine… #BlackInSTEM #WomenInSTEM #BHM
Since the beginning of the month, Mathematically Gifted and Black @MathGiftedBlack has been highlighting one amazing Black mathematician per day for Black History Month. Check them out -- or check out their website, linked below!🧮❤️🖤💚 Black Lives Matter, this and every month.
Tomorrow is February 1: the start of Black history month! We will be sharing profiles of Black mathematicians every day in February here and on our website mathematicallygiftedandblack.com. Feel free to retweet and share! #MG&B #BHM2021
For Math Puzzle No. 5, we meet a damsel in shining armor who needs to cross a moat filled with terrifying, hungry alligators to rescue a knight in distress. 😨🏰🐊🌊🚶♀️ How does she do it? Find out more details at z.umn.edu/mathcepblog #mathcep #math @MathCEP @umnmathlib @UMNCSE
